Dr. Macedo was born in Los Angeles and graduated from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1992. He has managed dozens of optometric practices, both private and corporate, in the United States and Central America. He is an accomplished optometrist with over 27 years of experience. As an international speaker, Dr. Macedo has lectured on optometry in the United States, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Colombia, and Argentina.
He specializes in vision therapy and treatment processes to improve vision function. He performs eye exams and prescribes corrective lenses for all ages. He is also an expert in diagnosing and prescribing treatments for eye diseases.
Dr. Ortiz is a board-certified optometrist specializing in comprehensive eye exams and the management of eye diseases. Dr. Ortiz fits many types of contact lenses, including specialized contact lenses for corneal diseases such as keratoconus, Sjögren’s syndrome, corneal transplants, LASIK complications, as well as for presbyopic patients. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Dr. Ortiz is fluent in English and Spanish. He attended Christopher Columbus Catholic High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Florida International University with extensive academic and personal achievements.
Dr. Ortiz received his Doctorate in Optometry in 2012 from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry. During his academic career, he completed several internships specializing in dry eyes and anterior and posterior eye diseases. He is currently certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Florida Licensure Board.
Janel Felipe, OD, was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences from Florida International University in 2006. She volunteered at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, learning about eye diseases and assisting in postoperative care and ophthalmology.
Dr. Felipe received her Doctorate in Optometry in 2012 from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry and is certified by the National Board of Optometry and the Florida Board. With over ten years of experience, she has worked with optometrists and ophthalmologists and taught optometry students. She conducts comprehensive eye exams, diagnoses eye diseases, diabetic conditions, glaucoma, cataracts, and other pathologies. She specializes in pediatric exams and contact lenses, including fittings for astigmatism and presbyopia.
